Fear has many faces. Fear looks like anxiety, stress, jealousy, and worry. Fear shows up in every area of our lives and we are masters of dwelling there. We worry about what might happen, about things in the future we can’t control. We worry about the behavior of everyone around us thinking somehow we can control their outcomes. We spend a lot of time worrying about what other people think about us. Fear is what I call a lower vibrational frequency and the people who dwell there, attract lower vibrational people and life experiences to match that frequency. Political and religious leaders have used fear throughout history to maintain order. As a result, people have become complacent about seeking their personal truth about everything. We have accepted the “rules” and followed them without question. We have lost the power of seeking and settled for the answers given. Fear comes from believing stories about ourselves and our circumstances without knowing or acknowledging the authenticity of the source or the information. Fear is allowing public opinion to tell us who we are and who we need to be. Being fearless is stepping fully into our authentic self and knowing that honoring our soul in that way is the most important thing we can do for ourselves and humanity.
Are we capable of being the highest version of ourselves when we worry what other people think? Fear of the future, the “what if” scenarios keep us locked in relationships, jobs, and homes that no longer serve us. Fear creates mediocrity and the story attached to it which always at the core is “I’m not enough”. Maybe it’s time to stop blindly accepting what is being slipped into our consciousness through social media and the news. Perhaps it’s time to pursue our dreams, those dreams collecting dust on a shelf somewhere waiting for us to realize that we have all the answers inside of us. We are so much greater than we have been programmed to believe.
It is time to think differently, live differently, and step outside the box. It is time to seek our truth. What do we know for sure? Ask questions, read, live, and thrive. Create solutions rather than focus on problems. Approach life from a place of possibility and opportunity rather than a life confined by limitations. We as individuals have so much untapped potential. We choose to spend our days mired in shit that doesn’t even matter, when we could be using all that mental, physical and emotional energy to create a life that is fulfilling. Mediocrity is a habit. Living fearlessly is a choice. We get to choose every second of every day what we are going to focus our attention on, so focus on the joy, the love, the unlimited potential of what life has to offer. For every negative, there is also the same probability of a positive outcome. It is time to embrace our personal power! Do we have unlimited time in this life? What will it take to step into your personal power? The only thing standing between you and your untapped potential is the story you are telling yourself. Courage is the antithesis of fear. Courage allows you to stand in your authentic power. Courage allows you to say no one has a right to tell me how to live or who to be. Courage is the ticket out. Courage is the voice inside of you that is telling you that you are smart, you are talented, you are going to walk right up and over all the people who doubted you, those who kicked you when you were down.
Courage is the caged lion roaring inside of you that you have suppressed up until now. I used to be a people pleaser. I used to be anything anyone wanted me to be. I used to keep my magnificent self locked securely in my heart space and no one, not even I knew her potential power. Then somehow one day, after being reduced to a smoldering ember, after being too many things to too many people, a voice whispered in my ear and said save yourself. I felt that if I denied my truth one more day my soul would die. Slowly I started finding my way back to my truth and power. I honored myself. I honored my opinion. I honored my mind, I honored my body. I started putting myself back together from the inside out and those closest to me didn’t like it. They liked me in the box, locked up and compliant. My family liked me serving them and bowing to their expectations and ideas and opinions. I had to fight my way back to myself without the support of anyone around me and now I know who I am. I continue to get push back and judgment from people who I thought were on my side, but now I realize their own lack of self has caused them to judge and criticize my passion for my work and who I have become. They have chosen to live a life defined by fear. I have unlocked my cell and stepped into my truth. I stand fully and completely in my power, no one can touch me. What is it going to be for you? Will you remain locked in the box, a prisoner of fear, or will you become the best version of yourself? Be fearless! I can take you there!
