Something crazy happened to me this year, I decided to be fearless. I decided to move in directions that would have scared me before, to step fully into my power. My journey the past 5 years took me on an intense ride back to myself. I flushed any negative thoughts. I stepped away from attachment to any specific outcome in my life. I found my voice, I found my power. I unfurled my sails and pointed my ship true north. I dance to my own rhythm, I have no limits, I am who I came here to be. I live a complete and authentic life. I have no desire to impress anyone, I have no desire to prove something. I have no need to convince anyone of anything, and I need the validation of no one, ever.
I know who I am, and I will never compromise myself for anyone. In 2017 I was awarded life coach of the year. I submitted my writing to Chicken Soup for The Soul, I’m waiting for my acceptance and check in the mail. I haven’t received any formal notification, but I know it is coming. I feel it, I believe it. I started writing for a magazine and became a regular on The Joy Ride radio show. I expect and experience magic in my life every day. I’m writing a book. Why you might ask am I writing a book? Everyone is writing a book it seems, or is a bestselling author. I don’t care if I’m a bestselling author, my goal is to write my story in hopes that one person will read it and know they too can come back from completely compromising themselves to standing fully in their power. I will give them the tools they need to shift.
I am here to shine a light for all people who think they are living an insignificant life, to tell them that there is no such thing as an insignificant or mediocre life. Each one of us is born to live, to experience triumph and defeat, to fall and rise and fall, but have the strength to rise again. We are all on a quest to remember who we really are and it’s not who we think we are. It’s not a quest to prove anything, it’s the search for truth, for the path leading back to our authentic self. Some of us are lucky enough to find ourselves, although it can take a lifetime. Some of us spend our entire life missing the point. We miss opportunities for pure love, joy, and connection. We focus on achievement rather than the power of living authentically. We pull down the sails and drift on the sea of life, aimless and unfulfilled. I’ve decided to unfurl my sails, the bow of my boat pointing true north. Everything I do is in alignment with my authentic self, I know I will arrive at the exact place I need to be, right on time.
There will be no wavering or hesitation. There will be no doubt about who I am. Something happens when you set sail for true north. People see you. Boundaries are respected because you respect yourself. Doors open, and you get to experience things you never thought possible. How you may ask, do I get there from here? You get on your own team. You lose the bullshit story that has held you down. You detach from the outcome because the results don’t determine your worth, you living as the fullest expression of yourself, YOU determine who you are. The answer is so simple, yet we over think and over complicate everything. We allow ourselves to drift so far from the truth of who we are, we don’t know how to find our way back. It is time my friends to step away from the fear that has kept you from dwelling in the place of magic and possibility. Turn the bow of your ship to face true north and catch the wind in your sails.
